My dad is going to Japan today to work, gonna miss him. It's the first time in my life that I won't be seeing him for a week!!
Oh well, below are some MAJOR SPOILERS FOR YAMADA TARO MONOGATARI!!
Ninomiya Kazunari (from Arashi) as Yamada Taro, the poor boy which looks like he is very rich. Whenever he smiles, girls would faint. He takes alot of part-time jobs and is good in sewing and cooking, and of course, good in studying. He is 17 years old and has alot of younger siblings, a naive mother and a father who travels around the world to paint. He enters this so-called "high-class" school with scholarship. (He don't need to pay for the school fees) He doesn't want to go into university because his family cannot afford the fees. However, he is interested in Bio-technology.

Kikuchi Momoko as Yamada Ayako, Taro's mother. She is quite weak (I think that's the reason she doesn't work?) She's quite a spendthrift and doesn't cook well. She was once rich.
Taro's sensible younger siblings. Taro dotes on them ALOT. The most important thing in his life is their smiles.

Matsuoka Mitsuru as Yamada Kazuo, Taro's dad. He travels around the world to paint and doesn't work.
Sakurai Sho (from Arashi) as Mimura Takuya. He is very rich, however, he is a lonely boy who seldom smile. He likes games and pranks. He took an interest in Taro (as in straight la, duh) and slowly, they became good friends.
Tabe Mikako as Ikegami Takako. She worked very hard to get into this Special Honours Class (same class as Mimura and Taro) She comes from a middle-class family and aims to marry a wealthy guy because she doesn't want to end up like her mother. She fell in love with Taro, thinking that he's rich at first but after she realised that he's actually very poor, she still likes him. She likes to imagine alot of crappy things =.=
Oshinari Shugo as Sugiura Keichi. An extremely arrogant and irritating guy. He's also in the Special Honours class.
A picture of Takako and her best friend. Her best friend is called Nakai Masami, acted by Otsuka Chihira. She is also in the Special Honours class and is quite rich too.
Sugiura fell in love with Taro after Taro hugged him out of gratefulness. (He unwillingly gave Taro some cloth)

This was Takako's imagination again. She imagined Taro and Mimura as some European aristocrats, speaking some =.= stuff and laughing about it.
but THIS IS THE REAL ONE!! LOL!! Taro needed $$ to buy his brother some baseball glove, so Mimura decided to help him by allowing him to work as a maid in his house for 3 days. However, all the maids in the Mimura Residence has to be a female.... so Taro had to dress up like this. (That's why he had painted nails)
Yamada Taro as "Yamada Tamiko". Beside him was Mimura's grandfather, who didn't know that "Yamada Tamiko" was actually a MALE. (He mentioned that "Yamada Tamiko" looked like a male , which was true)
LOL I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S WITH THE MAIDS (including Taro). They were actually DANCING when they were cleaning. And Taro danced in erm.... very femine manner.
The OBASANS' BATTLE. (Sort of reminds me of the mad pudding race in My Boss My Hero) Taro had to join this battle in the supermarket so that he can get a cheap chicken cutlet for his family.
He saw this pro-obasan. She was clapping her hands suddenly to get through the queue. (Everyone was like AAAA!! thn move away when she clapped her hands, that's why she could get through the queue)
Taro, the noob, couldn't get through the queue that easily and when he finally reached the end of the queue, he lost to that pro-obasan.
That pro obasan dragging Takako to the supermarket. SHE WAS ACTUALLY TAKAKO'S MUM!!
Taro decided to take some lessons from that Pro-Obasan (Takako's mum) so that he can win the next supermarket battle (to get some beef) Mimura decided to join in too. Takako's mum even made a layout of the supermarket!
Takako's mum was teaching them how to get the cheapest stuff from the supermarket most easily. They had put back some of the items from their baskets and then wait for the salesman to paste the sale stickers then quickly take them back. However, all this had to be done very quickly or else other aunties/obasans would take them.
Taro and Takako's mother did it easily....however....for Mimura...
He failed to take back his fish because some other Obasan quickly took it. He was later reprimanded by Takako's mother and then he decided to try again. He managed to do it and.....
he was quite happy about the fish =.=
There was this air guitar competition and they were all practicing it.

After Taro saw that his younger sister had a boyfriend, he began to get paranoid about it and even lay on Mimura's shoulder. =.=
This scene feels so nobuta-ish. (This show has totally no link with Nobuta wo Produce though)
Taro tried to steal a roll of toilet paper from the school, but obviously, he failed and the toilet paper rolled down the stairs. Mimura decided to help him by thanking him bringing toilet paper after knowing that he has some nose problems. The girls in the surroundings then quickly surrounded Mimura, offering him tissues.
The following is a video of a scene where they were meditating in a temple.
Ohno (from Arashi) had a special appearance in the show. He was handing out some flyers and then when Taro smiled at him, he was mesmerized. =.=
Love this scene. It's BEAUTIFUL.
This drama is definitely a MUST-WATCH!! It's funny and heart-warming too. The ending was good.
